Not all burgers are created equal and for the very best I recommend a visit to Big Joes Burger’s, a Boca Raton Landmark since 2008. Proprietors Crystal Goodwin and Luis Moyano carry on a tradition of quality and service that are priceless. The charming restaurant features an open kitchen, four highly burnished tables indoors as well seating on the outdoor patio. What is more impressive is the quality and range of offerings that are packed into their four page menu.
All the signature burgers feature a peerless six ounce patty of awesomely flavorful Angus beef. Although our scrumptious Blue Cheese Burger was topped with crisp cuts of grilled bacon, and an aromatic homemade blue cheese dressing, the luscious qualities of the superlative beef shined through every bite. All this goodness was bound together by a magnificent bun that added even more excitement to this beefy masterpiece.
An entrée size portion of crunchy fries was all that was needed to make this a perfect main dish suitable for lunch or early dinner.
Of course, to add even more joy to your meal, you must add Big Joe’s signature wings (recently rated #1) made to order from the highest quality poultry. Each segment is crisp and adroitly prepared so as to lock in all the natural goodness and flavors. Homemade sauces are without a doubt the key to the pleasure you experience nibbling on each morsel.
Naked or breaded, wings come in various levels of heat: mild, medium and hot. Specialty wings are enlivened with in-house crafted sauces such as our favorite, honey BBQ and Parmesan. Of course, each order comes with a fabulous blue cheese dip and zesty celery.
No meal would be complete without a delectable salad, and Big Joe has nine mouth watering creations. We opted for the Chicken Caesar topped with grilled cuts of savory filet. The prodigious base of vibrant Romaine lettuce was tossed with a perfectly balanced dressing, grated Parmesan and an abundance of delectable croutons. Beautifully plated and supremely fresh, it just doesn’t get any better. As with every signature offering, the portion was more than generous.
One taste of Big Joe’s House- Made Chili and you will understand why it won first place in the Boca Chili Cook Off. Unlike the thick, gooey tomato sauce based chilies, Big Joe’s version overflows with succulent Angus beef immersed in a to-die-for broth energized by savory beans and other vegetables. It adds up to a must- have treat.
Healthy options such the Homemade Turkey Burger and Homemade Veggie Burger add an enticing variety to the menu as do the list of gourmet sandwiches plus Basket Specials.
