In Shakespeare’s Two Gentleman of Verona, two young men leave the city of Verona, Italy in search of adventure and romance. This review, which we call Three Gentlemen of Boca, is about Nicola Dominici, Omar Barberini and Alessandeo Farana who left their native Italy for a series of gourmet ventures in Florida.
Full Bloom is their first restaurant in Boca Raton. Located in the Sanctuary Center on Federal Highway, this beautiful Kosher Certified eatery overlooks a stunning patio. The interior is dominated by floor to ceiling windows, a magnificent wall-length mural and elegant stonework accents, all of which provided the perfect tropical setting for our afternoon lunch.
Chef Keith Frenco’s menu offers a range of delicacies endowed with an awesome combination of flavors and textures. We opened with the Superfood Ranch Salad where cuts of vibrant Kale played the starring role. The supporting cast of quinoa, carrots, sweet potato, purple cabbage and red pepper added intense colors and flavors while hemp and pumpkin seeds supplied a delightful crunch. The in-house made Ranch dressing adroitly unified the ensemble into an exquisitely scrumptious creation large enough to easily satisfy two.
If you love chili, then the zesty Bean Chili will tickle your taste buds. A masterful combination of lentils, kidney beans and black beans comprise the core of a hearty broth flavored with tempeh sausage, scallions and a cheddar cheese topping.
No matter whether you are coming for a nibble or a complete meal, you may want to inquire about the varieties of beer and wine (offered by the bottle as well as glass) Full Bloom offers kosher wines plus a range of other beverages to complement each of your selections.
A sumptuous array of Burgers, Sandwiches as well as Bowls and Tacos form the core of the menu. Jackfruit Ropa Vieja is a Bowl that fired our imagination. Stewed jackfruit provides a superbly subtle texture and is partnered with a green olive, caper, sweet pepper and onion tomato sauce. Brown rice and quinoa form the base for this peerless creation.
We ended our vegan journey with a frothy cappuccino and the Chef’s to-die-for Chocolate Mouse overflowing with a variety of scrumptious dark chocolate ingredients and fresh raspberries.
