In my 65th year, I wouldn’t have thought it would be possible to feel more determined to prevent animal cruelty and to help the earth. Who knew in this current political – and actual – climate, my resolve could rise rather than plummet. Yet here I am, feeling optimistic after completing a series of wonderful Veganza Animal Heroes school programs for kindergarten to eighth grade levels. Each of my Veganza Animal Hero plant-powered superheroes sensed the same thing: the enthusiasm combined with potential, positively emanated toward the stage.
Positive Predictions
1. Nonprofits working on improving a myriad issues around peace, the environment, animal suffering and justice will unite. A stronger, more consistent force will be the result, with no room for the divide and conquer mentality.
2. Vegan food versions of global dishes will explode into the market in restaurant menus and ready-made meals. (Gen Zers prefer cooking with less work.)
3. More Americans will become responsible for their own nutritional health without relying on meat and dairy industry-funded studies, in response to less support from American health care services. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine website will become dangerously close to overloading due to increased traffic.
4. Plant-based cheese and seafood options will increase as the need increases, due to the environmental destruction of the ocean, and more people realize that dairy farms take away mothers’ babies to sell their milk.
5. My dream of a Veganza Animal Heroes World theme park entertainment destination will be funded by all the vegan food companies that wish people to buy their products, the environmental organizations that wish to counteract climate change, and animal protection organizations. They will all realize that without compelling educational intervention, change doesn’t exist.
OK, I admit the last one is a combination of a 2025 wish and a prediction. If you can help make this last entry a proven prediction, go to AnimalHeroKids.org.
