Effort – The Art of Manifesting

By Jon Ellis

While it is true that only through the God-power of our imaginative faculty, all seeds of creative manifestation are sown, it is also true that the imagination alone will not create or form anything of any value into this physical plane. While miracles are always possible, even for the most positive and inwardly clear-sighted among us, just because in our imagination we desire something, we are far more likely to meet disappointment by simply expecting our realized goals to just effortlessly drop from the sky into our laps. There is an endless sea of unfulfilled misguided souls in this world who desire, imagine, beg, and pray to their God, for a life filled with happiness and abundance, and to have all of their grand dreams and schemes met, yet they lack the purposeful effort, discipline, and drive necessary to achieve them.

Far fewer are the dedicated souls willing to apply themselves, to make the necessary sacrifices, to put in the years of training, discipline and effort it will take, brick-by-brick and stone-by-stone, to build their dreams into this world. To the envious sea of torpid have-nots, I say that there is little to be gained in life from sitting around like noisy blustering walruses on the shoreline, complaining, and wishing for something amazing to happen to and for them, yet putting in no sustained effort to make their dreams a reality.

If we have been inwardly guided to dedicate the time, attention, and energy to imagine a goal worthy of our divine nature, if we have asked spirit if this endeavor, once achieved, will help us live happier, healthier lives, to be more open, compassionate, loving, and connected individuals, and most importantly, if we will enjoy the process and journey to even get there, then we may as well commit ourselves wholeheartedly to the hard work it will take to drive this reality home. While the journey may be very long and challenging, the experience should be enjoyed. The very fact that the climb is steep and each step hard-won will only make our achievement even sweeter. If the trek seems endless, impossible, and at times hopeless, know that if we have surrendered our cares, fears, and worries to the Creator, including the eventual outcome as to how our creative vision manifests, we will discover that in the right time, in the right way, our vision will come to be, and it will be glorious and joyous, one that we can share with the world!
