Boca Raton’s Pavilion Grille is all about style. Where else can you find a seemingly endless dance floor surrounded by lush tropical plants, illuminated by countless lights and featuring top notch talent delivering the sweetest sounds in a glass lined atrium several stories high? Factor in a culinary staff that creates peerless gourmet specialties and you have all the ingredients for a night of sheer delight.
Whether you are a professional, amateur or someone who enjoys fine music and an occasional dance, you have the choice of sitting in the bar area, the elegant Grille Room or, as we did, at a table on the side of the dance floor selected by our gracious hostess, Elizabeth Perez. We began our gourmet foray with the Southern Blue Crab Bisque which is more like a bouillabaisse than a soup. The succulent morsels of crab were so abundant that you could have polished off the serving with a fork rather than a spoon. A panoply of colors and textures marked our serving of Seared Ahi Tuna. A sesame coated, ruby red filet was beautifully plated with dabs of radiant wasabi, orange toned ginger, dark green seaweed salad and a cup of crafted Asian dipping sauce. Another spellbinder, the Chef’s Tapas Bowl, harmonizes olives, roasted peppers, bruschetta and walnuts. We scooped every morsel with sourdough crisps. The versatile menu features almost a dozen specialty salads. The awesome flavors of the Sonoma Salad stem from a superlative blend of mixed greens, Craisins, walnuts, julienne granny Smith apples and a bracing raspberry vinaigrette.
There is also an abundance of enticing mains. The Blackened Rib Eye Steak will bring unmitigated joy to steak aficionados and everyone else.
Fork-tender cutlets bathed with a sumptuous mushroom wine sauce are the star attraction of the Veal Marsala. Each of these peerless entrees comes with two sides. We capped our gastronomic foray with a pair of irresistible sweets: the Black and White Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Triple Chocolate Layer Cake. Every nibble was made doubly enjoyable by the warmth and hospitality of the consummate staff. The Spring Three Course Dinners, featuring delectable favorites, are a great value. Lunch is served Tuesday thru Friday. Enjoy superb wines offered by the bottle or the glass. Also, ask you server about signature drinks and the fine selection of beers. Enjoy Happy Hour (Tuesday- Friday, 4 to 7 pm) featuring drink specials and a bar menu. Because of its immense appeal, Pavilion Grille is often booked for private parties and special events.
